The event, held from March 28-30 2024 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center, brought together over 240 galleries from 40 countries, showcasing a stunning array of artistic innovation and cultural narratives.

Our collaboration with contemporary artist Naminapu Maymuru-White stood out as a highlight of the “Encounters” section. Their joint installation, Larrakitj Forest (2024), was a mesmerizing fusion of traditional Himalayan carpet-making techniques and contemporary artistic expression. The swirling patterns in the carpets reinterpreted traditional esoteric symbols and dragon scales through a modern lens, symbolizing boundless power amidst chaos. Their work played a key role in celebrating Nepalese craftsmanship and offering a profound commentary on interdependence and cultural interconnectedness.
